Registration Day

I am so excited about this school year! I meet the most amazing students and parents today. Daypspring Academy is a blessed place, and I'm so thankful to be a part of it. Let the learning begin!!

First pictures of our classroom!

I snapped a few pictures of the classroom today. I still have a few things left to work on, but at least you will get some sort of idea of what things look like!

This is our writing bulletin board.

It is difficult to see from this view, but these are the students' cubbies. Mom made them star shaped name tags. I didn't take pictures of the awesome name tags on their desks.

From this view you can see where we will be displaying our correspondence with our troops.

We Support Our Troops!

It is my honor to introduce two soldiers that our class will be "adopting" this school year. It is not often that a father and son are allowed to serve our country within the same unit. However, these brave men are doing just that! Command Sergeant Major Brian Woodall and his son, Private Chase Woodall, are being deployed to Afghanistan this month. Our class will be learning more about each of them and their families as the school year progresses. (So I don't want to give away too much information for now.)
